The paved path has gentle grades, few traffic crossings, exposure to nature and wildlife, and great exercise: a perfect family outing.
Enchanting waterscapes are everywhere along the trail.
The Poudre trail is a pleasant walking trail with lovely views of
the river and the
meadows.
The Poudre Learning Center is a premier facility for learning that focuses on the importance of history and science of the Cache la Poudre River in Weld County Colorado.
See the seasons change...enjoy exquisite autumn colors when the cottonwoods change to a brilliant yellow against the deep blue Colorado skies.
The Poudre River Trail Corridor is a bird watchers paradise. There are bald eagles, golden eagles, pelicans, red-tailed hawks, blue herons and more.
There are decorative red granite markers every 1/4 mile and award-winning story posts to guide your way.
The backdrop is the expansive views of the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park
We welcome volunteers to help us with trail maintenance and events.
