the river and the
meadows. -
The Poudre Learning Center is a premier facility for learning that focuses on the importance of history and science of the Cache la Poudre River in Weld County Colorado. -
See the seasons change...enjoy exquisite autumn colors when the cottonwoods change to a brilliant yellow against the deep blue Colorado skies. -
The Poudre River Trail Corridor is a bird watchers paradise. There are bald eagles, golden eagles, pelicans, red-tailed hawks, blue herons and more. -
There are decorative red granite markers every 1/4 mile and award-winning story posts to guide your way. -
The backdrop is the expansive views of the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park -
We welcome volunteers to help us with trail maintenance and events. -
The Poudre River meanders through the high prairie in Weld County Colorado between Greeley and Windsor -
Informative and educational signs are located along the trail to help you learn about the wildlife and the history of the area.

Every yard of the Poudre Trail was funded by individual donations, fund raising projects, grants, and in-kind donations. We use very little tax money, so we need your help today. With a project like the Poudre Trail, every dollar contributed helps us maintain the 22 miles of the Poudre Trail and construct additions such as picnic areas and enhanced trailheads. In the years to come we will be looking to extend the trail and the natural areas surrounding the trail. If you would like to help we appreciate a donation of any amount!
