Wildlife along the Poudre River Trail

The Poudre River Trail is teeming with wildlife. The river corridor remains very much like it has been for hundreds of years. The availability of fresh water draws mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds. The corridor provides the necessities of food, water, and shelter that make it an ideal home for a wide variety of wildlife.

Come out to the trail and see if you can catch a glimpse of some of our locals in their own natural habitat. Be sure to show them the respect that they deserve. Keep a safe distance, don't harass them and don't try to touch them. You are in their home, so be a well mannered guest.
